Located in Bethel, VT, the After-School Program at Upper Valley Haven offers a nurturing space for school-aged children, particularly those who are current and former shelter guests. Our mission is to facilitate social and emotional growth during after-school hours and school vacations, featuring homework assistance, engaging enrichment activities like rock climbing, music, dance, and creative arts, as well as seasonal events such as skating and hiking. We also prioritize essential life skills through lessons in financial literacy, nutrition, and cooking. Our dedicated Children's Services Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering connections between families and schools, attending conferences and special education meetings to strengthen the school community while ensuring each child receives the support they need to thrive.
