Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this innovative program offers Fellows comprehensive organic food system education without tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all. Over a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants gain hands-on training in growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and developing programs that enhance food literacy in schools. In addition, Fellows engage in community action, collaborating with local non-profits to bolster healthy food access through farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives. With a commitment to fostering inclusive, empowered leaders in the food movement, the Fellowship creates pathways for sustainable community engagement and food assistance initiatives.
