The Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) in Bethel, VT, is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition for low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and children from birth to five years old. Our mission is to empower families by offering essential nutrition education, providing access to supplemental foods, promoting breastfeeding, and connecting families with vital health care resources. In response to the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19, we are currently delivering services via phone to ensure that our community receives the support they need safely. WIC understands the difficulty in locating certain food items and has temporarily expanded our list of available foods to include alternatives for those less accessible. We are committed to helping families find WIC-approved infant formula and encourage families to check with local stores for availability. Together, we are building healthier futures for our youngest citizens.
