The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bristol, VT, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and equitable food systems. This transformative program empowers participants through hands-on training and education, cultivating their roles as advocates for socially, environmentally, and economically just food systems. With a focus on organic practices, Fellows engage in a six-month immersive residency at the Allegheny Farm, followed by a Community Action Year where they partner with regional non-profits to implement innovative agricultural initiatives. From growing diverse crops and managing community gardens to enhancing food literacy in schools and supporting local farmers' markets, our Fellows work to expand access to healthy food and enrich local communities. Notably, we prioritize accessibility by offering the Fellowship tuition-free, ensuring that all aspiring food system leaders can participate. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
