The Community Food Shelf, part of BROC Community Action, is dedicated to alleviating hunger by providing essential food assistance to those in need in Castleton, VT, and the surrounding area. Our mission centers on ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious food, with operations at our two food pantry locations in Bennington and Rutland counties. We distribute emergency food to individuals and families, helping to meet basic nutritional needs during challenging times. Food is available at both locations between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., with special hours for seniors aged 60 and over at our Rutland site on Fridays from 2 to 3 p.m. We are here to support our community and ensure that no one goes hungry.
