At the Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) in Castleton, VT, we are dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide essential nutrition education, supplementary foods, and support for breastfeeding, along with important referrals to healthcare services. In light of recent challenges posed by COVID-19, we are currently offering our services through phone consultations to ensure safety and accessibility. We understand the difficulty some families are experiencing in locating specific WIC foods, which is why we have temporarily expanded our food list to include alternative options for those hard-to-find items.
