About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Charlotte, VT, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a fair, sustainable food system. Our Fellowship program empowers individuals through hands-on training and education focused on organic farming, food equity, and community engagement. We believe that access to food assistance and healthy options is a right, not a privilege, which is why we offer our program tuition-free, ensuring that all motivated learners can participate. Our Fellows engage in a range of impactful activities, including growing and distributing diverse crops on a market-style farm, implementing health-focused educational sessions, supporting community gardens and farmers markets, and fostering food literacy in schools. Through a six-month experiential stay at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a year of community action, our Fellows partner with local non-profits to drive positive change in food access and justice. Applications are accepted until March, with the program running from May to October, and we warmly invite passionate individuals to join us in making a difference in our food systems.
