At the Youth Food Shelf in Charlotte, VT, our mission is to ensure that no young person or their family in the Essex Westford School District experiences hunger or lacks essential supplies. We provide a compassionate, welcoming environment where families can access a variety of resources, including shelf-stable food, clothing, toiletries, and school supplies—all at no cost. Families are encouraged to visit during our open hours to select the items they need, and our services are entirely confidential. Youth engaged with Essex CHIPS can easily access the Food Shelf during their visits by simply reaching out to a staff member. We operate by appointment from Monday to Thursday, providing the flexibility for families to find assistance at their convenience, and we also facilitate no-contact pick-ups upon request.
