Located in Chester, VT, the After-School Program at Upper Valley Haven is dedicated to fostering a nurturing space where school-aged children who are current and former shelter guests can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Operating every school day as well as during vacation weeks, this program focuses on providing essential homework assistance and a diverse range of enrichment activities, from rock climbing and music to arts and crafts. Children also enjoy seasonal adventures like skating and hiking while gaining critical life skills through financial literacy, nutrition, and cooking lessons. Our Children’s Services Coordinator plays an integral role by collaborating with families, attending school conferences, and advocating for strong connections within the school community, ensuring that every child has the support they need to succeed.
