About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Danville, VT, we are dedicated to training and empowering a new generation of advocates for social, environmental, and economic justice within our food systems. Our inclusive program offers tuition-free organic food system education, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience in diverse agricultural practices. Fellows engage in community initiatives, from growing and distributing crops on market-style farms to implementing innovative health education programs. They help cultivate school and community gardens, promote food and ecological literacy, support farmers markets, and develop channels for increasing access to healthy foods. Over the course of six months on our scenic Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows not only gain valuable skills and knowledge but also work closely with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year to create impactful change. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experiential learning taking place from May to October.
