The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Derby, VT, is dedicated to fostering a fair and sustainable food system through comprehensive training and empowerment. Our program welcomes aspiring advocates and educators to immerse themselves in a six-month experiential learning journey at the Allegheny Farm Campus. Participants receive organic food system education and engage in hands-on activities like growing and distributing diverse crops, creating school and community gardens, and leading innovative health care workshops. After their residency, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to apply their skills and make meaningful impacts in food assistance and education. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility and are committed to cultivating the next generation of leaders who champion a just food system. Applications are open until March each year, with experiences running from May to October.
