The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Fairlee, VT, is dedicated to nurturing advocates for a just and sustainable food system. We provide a transformative learning experience, empowering fellows through tuition-free, hands-on training focused on organic food systems. Our program includes growing and distributing diverse crops on market-style farms, running educational sessions that intertwine health care with community well-being, and maintaining school and community gardens. Fellows also engage in promoting food and ecological literacy, supporting farmer’s markets, and developing better channels for healthy food access in collaboration with local organizations. Over six months at our residential Allegheny Farm Campus, fellows gain practical experience and insights, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in real-world settings to foster community change.
