The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Franklin, VT, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators committed to building a just food system that values social, environmental, and economic equity. Our program offers accessible, hands-on training in organic food systems without tuition costs, ensuring inclusivity for diverse participants. Fellows engage in real-world experiences at our Allegheny Farm, cultivating diverse crops and supporting local initiatives such as farmers markets and community gardens. They also implement educational programs that enhance food and ecological literacy. Following a transformative six-month residency, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and foster healthy food access. Applications are accepted through March each year, aligning opportunities from May to October, paving the way for impactful community engagement in the heart of Franklin, VT.
