About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Grand Isle, VT, is dedicated to empowering future leaders in fostering a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Through a six-month immersive experience at AMI's Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows receive comprehensive training in organic food systems, engage in community-building initiatives, and learn to advocate for sustainable practices. Our program emphasizes accessibility by offering tuition-free education, allowing participants to focus on impactful work such as growing diversified crops, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food literacy into educational systems. Following their training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to apply their knowledge and create meaningful change. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
