The Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) in Huntington, VT, is dedicated to fostering the health and nutritional well-being of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. By providing essential nutrition education, supplemental food assistance, breastfeeding support, and health care referrals, WIC aims to empower families with the resources they need to thrive. In light of recent challenges due to COVID-19, services are currently being offered by phone, ensuring accessibility while maintaining safety. We’ve also expanded our food list to include hard-to-find items, and we are actively working with local stores to ensure that WIC-approved infant formula remains available. Together, we are committed to supporting the nutritional needs of our community's youngest members.
