At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Johnson, VT, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. We empower our Fellows to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity through comprehensive training and hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm. Our no-tuition policy reflects our commitment to accessibility, allowing diverse individuals to engage in impactful learning without barriers. Over a six-month immersive program, selected Fellows participate in organic food system education and gain practical experience in areas such as diversified crop production, community gardening, and the development of innovative health care education. In addition to supporting farmers markets and enhancing food access, our program emphasizes collaboration with local non-profits and community partners, culminating in a Community Action Year where Fellows implement their training to create lasting change. Applications for this transformative experience are open until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October, inviting enthusiastic individuals to join us in building a fairer food future.
