The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Johnson, VT is dedicated to nurturing the health and nutrition of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to five years old. We offer vital services including nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, breastfeeding promotion and support, as well as referrals for healthcare to empower families on their journey to better health. As we adapt to the challenges presented by COVID-19, our services are currently being provided by phone to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. In response to difficulties in locating WIC-approved foods, we have temporarily expanded our food list to include additional options. We are committed to collaborating with local stores to ensure the availability of essential items like WIC infant formula, ensuring that families have the support they need during these times.
