Located in Ludlow, VT, the After-School Program at Upper Valley Haven offers a nurturing and engaging environment designed for school-aged children who are current and former guests of our shelter. Running every school day and during vacation weeks, our program emphasizes social and emotional learning while providing dedicated support with homework assignments. Children can explore a broad range of enrichment activities such as rock climbing, music, dance, arts and crafts, and participate in seasonal adventures like skating and hiking. We prioritize essential life skills through financial literacy, nutrition, and cooking lessons. Our Children’s Services Coordinator works diligently to strengthen connections between families and schools, attending conferences and special education meetings to foster a sense of community and support for every child.
