The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ludlow, VT is dedicated to empowering future leaders in sustainable food systems through hands-on education and practical experience. This unique program eliminates tuition fees to foster accessibility, enabling passionate individuals to become advocates for justice in the food system—socially, environmentally, and economically. Fellows engage in a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, learning about organic farming, community food advocacy, and ecological literacy. They will work on diverse projects such as growing crops, managing community gardens, and leading initiatives that enhance access to healthy food. Following their fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to apply their knowledge and skills within the community. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
