About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Middlebury, VT, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Through a hands-on, experiential program, we empower Fellows to become passionate advocates for a food system that values social, environmental, and economic fairness. Our Fellowship offers unique opportunities for organic food system education, enabling participants to grow diversified crops on market-style farms, facilitate innovative health care education, maintain community gardens, and deepen food and ecological literacy in schools. Each selected Fellow embarks on a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by impactful work with regional non-profits during our Community Action Year. We champion accessibility by not charging tuition, ensuring that passionate individuals can join us in making healthy food more accessible for all in the community. Applications are welcome until March each year, for a transformative experience from May to October.
