The Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) in Milton, VT, is dedicated to supporting low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission focuses on promoting healthy food habits through essential services including nutrition education, supplemental food assistance, breastfeeding support, and crucial referrals for health care. In response to the challenges posed by COVID-19, we are currently providing services by phone to facilitate access for our clients. To address the ongoing difficulties in finding specific WIC-approved items, we have temporarily expanded our food list to include alternatives for hard-to-find products while actively working with retailers to ensure WIC infant formula remains available.
