About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Morrisville, VT, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. We believe in empowering our Fellows through hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm, where they receive comprehensive organic food system education without any tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all. Throughout this six-month program, participants engage in growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative educational sessions, maintaining school gardens, and fostering food and ecological literacy in educational settings. Our Fellows also play a key role in supporting local farmers markets, enhancing distribution channels for healthy foods, and building community coalitions dedicated to food access. After completing their training, Fellows spend a Community Action Year collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and drive positive change. Applications are welcomed until March, with experiences typically running from May to October.
