About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Newbury, VT, is dedicated to cultivating a just, sustainable food system that empowers individuals and communities. We sponsor and train Fellows to become passionate advocates and educators, promoting principles of social, environmental, and economic justice within our food systems. Our comprehensive program includes extensive education in organic agriculture, where selected Fellows engage in hands-on experiences at our Allegheny Farm Campus for six months, followed by a transformative Community Action Year. Here, they collaborate with local non-profits, implementing initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, supporting farmers markets, and maintaining community gardens. We believe in accessibility and do not charge tuition, ensuring that our Fellowship is open to all who wish to make an impact. Join us in reimagining food justice through education and community involvement, with applications due in March each year for experiences running from May to October.
