The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Newfane, VT, inspires and equips individuals to become champions of a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic sustainability. Through a comprehensive training program, we provide fellows with invaluable organic food system education and hands-on experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus. Our dedicated fellows engage in initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, developing educational programs that enhance food literacy, maintaining community gardens, and supporting local farmers’ markets and food access projects. We believe in the importance of accessibility; therefore, we do not charge tuition for our fellowship, fostering a diverse community of advocates and educators. After a transformative six-month residency, fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to implement their training and create meaningful change. Applications are accepted until March each year, with experiences running from May to October.
