The Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) in North Bennington, VT is dedicated to enhancing the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. We provide essential food assistance and nutrition education to encourage healthy eating habits during critical stages of growth and development. Our program offers supplemental foods, breastfeeding support, and referrals for health care services to empower families. In response to COVID-19, we are currently providing services via phone to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. We have also expanded our food list to include options for hard-to-find items, and we collaborate with local stores to maintain a supply of WIC-approved infant formula.
