About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship located in Orleans, VT, is committed to empowering individuals through hands-on training and education in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Our Fellowship program provides comprehensive organic food system education to aspiring advocates who are passionate about creating a socially, environmentally, and economically equitable food landscape. By fostering partnerships with community organizations, our Fellows engage in meaningful projects such as cultivating diverse crops, enhancing community gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy within educational settings. We believe in accessibility, which is why we do not charge tuition for our program. Over a six-month immersive experience at our farm campus, selected Fellows develop practical skills that they apply during a Community Action Year, working alongside regional non-profits to drive impactful change. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
