About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Pittsford, VT, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers Fellows through hands-on training and education focused on organic food systems. Participants engage in meaningful projects, including growing diverse crops on a market-style farm, leading educational initiatives in health care, and supporting community gardens. Additionally, they play a vital role in enhancing food and ecological literacy, promoting access to healthy foods, and mentoring future leaders in the field. The immersive experience spans six months of residential training at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their knowledge in collaboration with local non-profits. Our commitment to accessibility ensures that all interested individuals can participate without any tuition fees, with applications due each March for fellowship opportunities running from May to October.
