This Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to explore organic food system education while promoting accessibility by waiving tuition fees. Over six transformative months at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in experiential learning, cultivating diversified crops on a market-style farm, implementing innovative health education sessions, and integrating food and ecological literacy into community activities. They support local farmers' markets and direct-to-consumer programs, while also developing vital distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods. Following this immersive experience, Fellows dedicate a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge alongside regional non-profit organizations to make a tangible impact. Applications are accepted until March each year for the Fellowship that runs from May to October, fostering a new generation of advocates committed to sustainable food solutions.
