The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Proctor, VT, provides a transformative experience for those passionate about creating a fair and equitable food system. Through hands-on training and empowerment, our Fellows become champions of social, environmental, and economic justice in agriculture. Our program offers organic food system education and promotes accessibility by charging no tuition fees. Participants engage in various initiatives, such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health care educational sessions, and maintaining school and community gardens. Additionally, we emphasize food and ecological literacy in education, support local farmers markets, encourage direct-to-consumer sales, and uplift community food coalitions. The fellowship includes a six-month residential program at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, allowing Fellows to apply their skills with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are due in March, with the experience typically running from May to October.
