Located in Randolph, VT, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship empowers individuals to become advocates for a just food system through hands-on education and community engagement. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship offers a unique opportunity to immerse in organic food system practices without tuition costs, ensuring accessibility for all. During a six-month residential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement educational health initiatives, and maintain community gardens while integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings. Additionally, they support farmers markets and develop distribution networks to enhance access to healthy foods. Following this experiential training, participants embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. Applications are open until March, with the fellowship running from May to October, inviting you to join a movement focused on creating a socially, environmentally, and economically equitable food system.
