The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Richmond, VT is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. By sponsoring and training passionate individuals, the Fellowship offers a transformative experience focused on organic food system education, guiding Fellows through practical, hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm. Participants will engage in growing and distributing diverse crops, teaching food and ecological literacy, and supporting community gardens and farmers markets. This immersive six-month program culminates in a Community Action Year where Fellows apply their knowledge in collaboration with local non-profits, fostering increased access to healthy foods and strengthening community food systems. With no tuition fees, the Fellowship ensures that anyone committed to making a difference in food security can participate. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experience running from May to October.
