In South Hero, VT, Meals on Wheels is committed to ensuring that seniors receive the nutritious meals they need to thrive in their homes. Our dedicated volunteers deliver fresh, well-balanced meals directly to those who have difficulty preparing food themselves, making it easier for our elderly community members to maintain their health and independence. Our registered dietitian also offers personalized nutrition counseling, collaborating with our chef to tailor meals to individual dietary needs. We provide weekday meal delivery and encourage a suggested voluntary contribution of $5 per meal to help sustain our services, although any amount is warmly accepted. During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our delivery process to respect social distancing, with volunteers notifying clients before leaving meals at their doors to maintain safety.
