Located in South Royalton, VT, the After-School Program at Upper Valley Haven offers a nurturing atmosphere where school-aged children can thrive socially and emotionally. Catering to both current and former shelter guests, our program operates every school day as well as during school vacation weeks, featuring a variety of engaging activities. Participants benefit from homework assistance and can explore enrichment opportunities such as rock climbing, music, dance, cultural performances, and arts and crafts. We also provide seasonal adventures like skating and hiking, alongside essential life skills training in financial literacy, nutrition, and cooking. Our dedicated Children’s Services Coordinator fosters connections between families and schools by attending conferences and special education meetings, ensuring that children build strong relationships within their community and receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally.
