The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Underhill, VT, is dedicated to fostering a sustainable food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program provides rigorous organic food system education and essential training without tuition, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring advocates. Fellows engage in hands-on experiences on a market-style farm, participate in innovative health care educational sessions, and cultivate school and community gardens. They also play a vital role in supporting farmers markets, developing distribution channels for healthy food access, and engaging in community food coalition efforts. Each selected Fellow embarks on an immersive six-month residential experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their knowledge through partnerships with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March of each year, with the program running from May to October.
