The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Wallingford, VT, empowers passionate individuals to become effective advocates for a food system that is equitable, sustainable, and resilient. This transformative program offers comprehensive training in organic food systems without any tuition fees to ensure accessibility for all. Over six immersive months at the Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows will engage in hands-on experiences that include cultivating diversified crops, leading educational sessions, nurturing school and community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in local schools. Fellows will also collaborate with regional non-profit organizations during their Community Action Year to expand access to healthy foods through farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives, while supporting community food coalition efforts. Aspiring participants can apply by March to embark on this life-changing journey each year from May to October.
