About Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC)
The Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) in Warren, VT, is dedicated to supporting the nutritional needs of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to foster healthy food habits through tailored nutrition education, the provision of supplemental foods, and robust breastfeeding promotion and support. We also connect our participants to essential health care resources. In light of ongoing challenges such as COVID-19, we have transitioned our services to be accessible by phone, allowing you to receive assistance from the comfort of your home. Additionally, we recognize the difficulty in finding some approved WIC foods, which is why we have temporarily expanded our food list to include alternative options. We remain committed to ensuring that WIC-approved infant formula is readily available, and encourage participants to consult customer service if they encounter any difficulties in locating it on store shelves.
