About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in West Burke, VT, is dedicated to cultivating future leaders in sustainable food systems. We empower participants through immersive training and hands-on experiences, enabling them to advocate for a food system that is equitable, environmentally sound, and economically viable. Our program provides powerful opportunities for Fellows to engage in organic food system education, manage diverse crops on a market-style farm, implement health-focused educational initiatives, and foster community gardens that promote ecological literacy. Our commitment to accessibility means we do not charge tuition, ensuring that aspiring leaders can join us without financial barriers. Throughout the six-month experiential Farm and Food Study at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows will learn and grow, culminating in a Community Action Year where they apply their skills with regional non-profits. We invite you to apply by March for a season of meaningful engagement from May to October, while helping to build a resilient food future in our communities.
