Located in White River Junction, VT, the After-School Program at the Upper Valley Haven is dedicated to supporting the social and emotional growth of school-aged children who are current or former shelter guests. Operating daily during the school year and throughout vacation weeks, our program offers a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Participants receive homework assistance and engage in a diverse range of enrichment activities, from rock climbing and music to arts and crafts. Seasonal activities like skating and hiking are also part of our offerings, alongside essential life skills training in areas such as financial literacy, nutrition, and cooking. Our Children's Services Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering connections between families and schools, attending conferences and special education meetings to strengthen relationships within the school community. Through these impactful services, we are committed to creating opportunities for growth and development, empowering children to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
