The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in White River Junction, VT, is dedicated to cultivating leaders who champion a food system that prioritizes social equity, environmental stewardship, and economic viability. By providing a tuition-free educational experience, we empower our Fellows to gain hands-on knowledge in organic food systems while engaging with the vibrant agricultural community at our Allegheny Farm. Throughout the six-month Fellowship, participants immerse themselves in practical training and lifestyle practices, collaborating with local partners to grow diversified crops, maintain community gardens, implement educational programs in schools, and support farmers markets aimed at enhancing community access to healthy food. Following their intensive training, our Fellows enter a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills in partnership with various regional nonprofit organizations. Our commitment to accessibility and education equips the next generation of advocates and educators in the movement for a just food system, making an impactful difference in the communities we serve.
