About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Wilmington, VT, is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system through comprehensive training and empowerment of our Fellows. This program offers a unique opportunity for individuals to dive into organic food system education, engaging in hands-on experiences at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they will learn to grow and distribute diverse crops while championing food and ecological literacy. We do not charge tuition, ensuring accessibility for all participants. Throughout their six-month residency, Fellows will not only cultivate their knowledge but also share it by implementing community gardening initiatives, supporting local farmers' markets, and mentoring future cohorts. Following this immersive experience, Fellows will enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to enact meaningful change and enhance food access in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship running from May to October.
