About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Wolcott, VT, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Our program empowers Fellows by providing comprehensive training in organic food system education, focusing on issues of social, environmental, and economic justice. We believe in accessibility, which is why we do not charge tuition, ensuring that all passionate individuals can participate. Throughout a transformative six-month experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in hands-on learning while collaborating with communities to grow and distribute diverse crops, maintain gardens, and implement innovative educational sessions that promote food and ecological literacy. Following their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills with regional non-profits to enhance local food access and support community food initiatives. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
