Located in Woodstock, VT, the After-School Program at Upper Valley Haven is dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging environment where school-aged children, especially those who are current or former shelter guests, can thrive socially and emotionally. Operating every school day and during vacations, our program offers essential homework assistance alongside diverse enrichment activities such as rock climbing, music, dance, cultural performances, and arts and crafts. We also implement seasonal fun like skating and hiking, while integrating vital life skills training in areas such as financial literacy, nutrition, and cooking. Our committed Children’s Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in reinforcing connections between families and schools by participating in conferences and special education meetings, all aimed at fostering stronger ties within the school community.
