About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Centralia, WA, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Through hands-on training and experiential learning, our program empowers Fellows to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. We provide an immersive six-month Farm and Food Study at our state-of-the-art facilities, where participants gain expertise in organic food systems, engage with community initiatives, and lead projects such as diversified crop cultivation and health education workshops. Our Fellowship is tuition-free to ensure accessibility, allowing individuals to focus on creating impactful change within their communities. Following their training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to apply their knowledge and skills, whether it's through supporting community gardens, enhancing food distribution networks, or promoting food literacy in schools. Applications are accepted until March, with the program running from May to October, fostering a vibrant network of advocates for healthier, more just food systems.
