About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in East Wenatchee, WA, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates and educators focused on a fair and sustainable food system. Our program provides a unique, tuition-free opportunity for selected Fellows to engage in hands-on learning about organic farming and community food initiatives. Over six months at our immersive Farm and Food Study, participants will gain practical experience in growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, and maintaining school and community gardens. Beyond cultivation, Fellows will promote food literacy, support local farmers markets, and develop strategies to increase access to healthy foods in collaboration with regional non-profits. After their fellowship, they will embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills and insights to make a tangible impact. Applications are welcomed through March for the fellowship experience, which runs from May to October each year.
