Meals on Wheels in Mount Vernon, WA, is dedicated to ensuring that senior citizens who face challenges leaving their homes or preparing meals receive nutritious, delicious noontime meals. Our program delivers both hot and frozen meals, each thoughtfully crafted to include a balanced entrée, carbohydrate, vegetable, and bread, along with an 8 oz. serving of 1% milk, and often a dessert or fruit. Every meal meets one-third of the recommended daily nutrient allowances, supporting the health and well-being of our elderly community members. We aim to start meal deliveries within 1-2 days of signing up, and within a few weeks, our Nutrition Program representatives will check in to ensure our services are meeting your needs. While our meals are offered on a donation basis, no one is denied assistance for lack of funds, with a suggested donation of $3.50 per meal. We are committed to providing vital food assistance to those in need, wrapping every delivery in kindness and support.
