Direct Assistance is dedicated to supporting low-income individuals and families facing homelessness in Walla Walla, WA. We understand the urgent needs of our community and offer a range of vital services, including utility assistance to prevent shut-offs, access to non-narcotic prescriptions, Valley Transit bus passes, and a Barriers to Employment program aimed at enhancing opportunities for our clients. We also provide specialized support for veterans, personal hygiene items, and access to our well-stocked food pantry, along with clothing, bedding, and other essential household items. Our comprehensive screenings and referral vouchers allow clients to access additional resources such as food bank cards, clothing, eye care assistance, furniture, transportation for medical and work purposes, and urgent dental and medical services. All assistance is provided through personalized one-on-one interviews at our office to ensure we meet the specific needs of each individual and family.
