About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Alta, Wyoming, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is designed to cultivate leaders in sustainable food practices. This program empowers selected Fellows with hands-on training and education aimed at building a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Through a six-month immersive experience on the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants gain invaluable knowledge in organic agriculture, food and ecological literacy, and community outreach. The Fellowship encourages collaboration with local non-profits, enabling Fellows to grow and distribute diversified crops, develop community gardens, support farmers markets, and implement innovative health education programs. By fostering mentorship and active involvement in food coalition activities, the Fellowship promotes accessibility to healthy food and strengthens community connections. Application deadlines are in March, with the program running from May to October.
