About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Buffalo, WY is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program, which takes place at the Allegheny Farm Campus, offers a six-month comprehensive training experience that empowers selected Fellows through hands-on learning in organic food systems. Our Fellows engage in meaningful activities such as growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and educating others about food and ecological literacy. The Fellowship promotes accessibility by waiving tuition fees, ensuring that participants can focus on impactful projects that enhance community food access and support local farmers markets. After their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their skills and knowledge in real-world settings. Applications are welcome until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
