The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) in Chugwater, WY, is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of low-income individuals aged 60 and over by providing essential food assistance. Each month, eligible seniors receive a thoughtfully curated food box filled with nutritious staples such as non-perishable proteins, powdered or UHT milk, juice, cereals, canned or dried fruits and vegetables, and refrigerated cheese, alongside valuable nutrition education and recipes. In collaboration with the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies and partner agencies, CSFP ensures that seniors also have access to fresh produce, dairy, and bread, distributing food through multiple locations across Wyoming.
