About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Diamondville, WY, is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system through advanced training and hands-on experience. This vibrant program empowers selected Fellows to become advocates and educators, focusing on the principles of social, environmental, and economic equity in food systems. Through a six-month immersive residency at the Allegheny Farm, participants engage in organic food system education while fostering collaborations with local communities to grow and distribute diverse crops, develop school and community gardens, and implement health-focused educational initiatives. By facilitating connections with farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs, our organization enhances access to healthy food for all. The program also emphasizes mentorship, encouraging Fellows to guide the next generation of community leaders during their subsequent Community Action Year. We strive to make our Fellowship accessible to diverse individuals, with no tuition required, ensuring that anyone passionate about food justice can join our mission. Applications are open until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
